Thankfully, the Bible cannot be taught in public schools. After all, Jesus Christ was a socialist and teaching the Bible in school might be an attempt to spread a socialist agenda!

Indeed. With one HUGE difference. He taught us to be kind to each other of our own free will. Not to have Big Brother FORCE us to be charitable. We should be good to each other beacause its the right thing to do and not because there is a gun to my head if I am not.

Its the same line of thought as the "Christians" who try to use FEAR to lead people to Christ. "Believe in Him or you going to ROT IN HELL!!!"

But I will give you an "atta girl" for the try.

So it is the Ten Suggestions? not the Ten Commandments?

I am ashamed for and embarrassed by people who think that a message to stay in school, work hard, take responsibility for your education espouses socialism.

I guess by that measure, when Bush II read a book about a goat to school children he was espousing beastiality.

    What fools...what morons!

God is perfect. Mankind is far from it. Thus, due to our sinful nature, we rarely adhere to His Commandments. That does not mean we should not try.

Now, I know what you might want to say.... But I also believe God wants us to adhere to his Commandments by free choice.

I am ashamed for and embarrassed by people who think that a message to stay in school, work hard, take responsibility for your education espouses socialism.
Oh, if it that was the only message... But, as usual, you seem to omit the necessary context. Recall the original version of his idea, per the letter Arne Duncan had sent to schools, had in part a request to "write papers where the students could come up with ideas on how to help the President."

    THAT is typical "progressive" indoctrination.

I guess by that measure, when Bush II read a book about a goat to school children he was espousing beastiality.
Again, had you not omitted the necessary context, you could be correct here.

There ya go! THATS the ES we know and love.

What a pity. To which ones do you not adhere?

Here's an example of a president asking school children to help him by sending a dollar to Afghanistan.

    Bush wants dollars

Guess Bush was a socialist too!

(I borrowed the moron and stupid line from another poster...should I give him a footnote?)

I often do not honor the Sabbath. Work is that busy. I often take the Lords name in vain. Try as I might to avoid it. I AM only human ya know.

As for the rest of them I think I do pretty well.

    How about you?

He sure was! He ended up being a "conservative" by European standards. Lookie there, we agree on something.

It might help... Save me some unecessary keystrokes.
