    -------------------------

I feel like a meat loaf and green beans and mushrooms......and some homemade biscuits!

I am going to start off with a Gin and Tonic......I am feeling rather sophisticated today!!!!

Here's what Fall looks like around my place.

Hope you had a nice day Richard. Things are busy in my neck of the woods so have not been around much. Today won't prove any different, but I'll take a Spanish Coffee to start off my day.

Sob......Slick...your photo makes me so homesick (which I am all the time but especially at this time of year...)

    Sorry...I forgot...no tears in the Bar....There...I'm better...

So I found a drink I will be serving for Thanksgiving...

Apple cider and Maker's Mark...shall we try one?

The colour time is already over here- so all rain and it will be wet snow for the weekend (that is NOT the white glitzy stuff )

So your drink sounds purrfect for me

It is hard to get into the fall mood in Southern California. I still have tons of roses in bloom and many buds.

Apple cider and Maker's Mark? Sounds like you could do a great "gobble" sound after one of those!!

I would love some of Richard's cake and a cup of strong coffee, please.

Autumn is wrapping up here on the East coast with mellow fading colors now. But two weekends ago we went sailing & it was glorius:

How about a tall Irish coffee to chase off the morning chill?

Meat loaf???? Count me in!!! One of my favorite foods!!!

Slick I am so jealous!!! Our trees didn't turn very pretty this year. A few orange ones but no pretty red ones!!! Now the leaves are falling off.

The leaves have finally been turning this week where we are - so now it's time to leaf-vac the back yard - but there are as many leaves still in the tree as there are covering the ground in a golden layer. It is late for us, the leaves are usually off the trees by now, with the drought this summer, and the odd weather, things are different this year.

I'll make a big pot of chai, okay?

I think chai is like popcorn - one should always make enough to share with everyone, as it is so fragrant, there's no hiding it!

Hmm, sugar cookies to go with the chai anyone?

Yes, Lady, they are doggie safe. Sit like a good girl, and I'll give you one!

fall leaf color is late here too. my trees here are 45- 50 years old. the sweet gum in the back was very severly pruned back by the electric company last fall, it might not make another year, sigh. this year instead of being brilliant orange, it's soft yellow. the sugar maple in the front is now orangy red. both trees are still 2/3 full. some most on the street are red, orange and yellow. i love how it looks. tired of the raking, but i love my trees. a decaf spanish coffee for me. i love fall. lady, come sit next to me, i can rub your ears...
