Around the garden ~ 8 pics (new camera)

I was playing around with my new baby (read: new camera, Canon PowerShot SD1000.) Thought I'd share some of the results. I bought the camera for it's video option as I have my XTi for photos. However, for a little $175 camera it doesn't do too bad! I was dying without being able to take videos after my S2 IS broke.

These were all taken without the flash and low light (either taken inside or outside where it's very cloudy out.)

Not bad at all for $175! I certainly recommend it to those who are looking for a good little camera (very little! Can fit in purse, pocket, etc. just fine.)

Terrific close ups, I like the flowers. You also have very sweet black and brown "flowers" in your garden, he he. Camera works great!

Do you know the name of the pink and yellow flower, between the 2 pups? I've seen in before, it is quite memorable with the 2 colors. I didn't get it though, as I did a google search and it was toxic to cats. I can't watch them close enough to be safe, so I had to bypass it. Lovely!

    Thanks.

Freedom, that's Lantana. It's one of my favorite bushes. We have the multicolored one like that, a gorgeous purple/lavendar color, and a yellow color in our yard. They go absolutely wild down here. They spread like crazy.

    The purple/lavendar is my favorite:

Great pictures, the flowers are so pretty. I especially love the Kiara
    and the Simba flowers.

I have a Canon Powershot A310, and my pictures look nothing like yours.

So I am scrolling slowly through kfamr's beautiful nature photos and what do you know, there's Kiki! Hi, sweety! And a little farther down, what do I find? Simba! Hi, Simba! And kfamr, your garden photos are terrific. I love lantanas.
