Trying out the new camera... video

Bear the black girl is almost 14, she has cushings disease, we just built a ramp for her. We started her on LIPOVET, Asprin for pain, and Trilostane... (new drug for cushings that has just become available) 5 days ago, there are already improvements .

Today she got what I like to call the old lady zoomies.... ie she played for 30 mins tossing a toy around and barking (first time in 12 months) ... Roth is also 13 and just had to get in o the act

That was beautiful!! She looks so happy. And it's so cute how excited she got over the stuffed Bear, she was just smiling up a storm!!
Roth is adorable too. It looks like he gets the excited sneezies like my Zoee does.
I had tears in my eyes and a huge smile on my face. Thank you for sharing that wonderful event with us.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

    Ty taz,
She really is a sweetheart, and most certainly my heart dog.
She is a very quiet wise old soul I think.... such a great spirit even when she was at her worst.

Cushings is an EVIL disease, I have seen my girl go from "still" young and playful to bloated and in pain, with a coat that is horrible, (she used to have a wonderful soft silky shiney coat) a couple of times I had come very close to sending her to the bridge.

She was on selegeline for a while which seemed to stop working after about 12 months, thank dog this Trilostane became available, because I did not want to put her on the other available med, that actually kills the adrenal gland.
Of course, now the meds are working she is having trouble with her joints as the body is not producing the excessive cortisone that it was. and the cushing has also done some muscle damage.

    Gawd I hate this disease!!!!

Both Bear and Roth are adorable. What a sweetie Bear is in the video. I hope the new meds continue to make her feel better.

OMGosh, she is adorable. It really did put a huge smile on my face watching her play, and what a gorgeous smile she has. And her brother cheering her on was just too cute. I hope she continues to show improvement with the new meds. {{{Bear Hugs}}} for Bear.
