It's good to see you back Laura - welcome! Glad you enjoyed the trip.

I love that first picture, it sure is worth framing! Go and have made postcards from it!

Wow, Laura! What a great photo and I like the caption, too. I read in the Chicago Tribune that the Delta Queen needs a new exemption from the Safety of Life at Sea Act in 2008 because of the ship's mostly wooden construction. And if they don't get it, well ... Let's just say I really hope they get it. My parents took me from Nashville to St. Louis on the Delta Queen in 1988 for my college graduation and their wedding anniversary and we had a great time. I'd go again in a moment.

And what a great story! You were sitting in your dining room and just look what passed by the window! You must have one terrific view all the year round!

cassiesmom- I was in the dinning room of the boat I work on, I am the cook and I do have a wonderful view year round when I am out there on the river....

I read that same article about the Delta Queen and I sure hope they get that exemption! They are what makes that Mississippi River what it is! It would be a shame to loose them.

Pembroke_Corgi, this is the boat I work on....

Laura those photos are really special; how wonderful you had the opportunity, finally, to experience your dream and get pictures too. I really hope you can enjoy that trip sometime in the future - a dream complete

Thank you Pembroke_Corgi. It is just as nice inside as it is outside and very comfortable... just a tad noisey at times. All the comforts of home... except for NO PETS allowed!
