See First Eagle Catching Thread here
I'm becoming a pro at this eagle catching business. A customer stopped in today and told us that there was an eagle that had been hit by a car at about 9 mile (9 mile = 9 mile out of town). So Christa (my boss) and I load up into the truck and went and checked it out. The eagle was pretty bad and poor guy has extensive injures to his wing. Thankfully we caught him with very little problems. We did have 1 problem though. He thought a blanket came with his flight to Juneau and refused to give them back! LOL. He is currently on his way to the Juneau Raptor Center where hopefully they will be able to patch him up and get him better. (Phred, the same women who took care of Haines will be careing for this eagle also)
A pic of him before we captured him
We put a blanket over him so he would calm down a bit
Here he is in the only kennel we could find, which was WAY to small for him
Him holding on to the blanket
Joel (a park ranger) playing tug of war with the eagle
The Eagle won
