This makes me very, very sad to have to post this.
I was hoping that there might be a PTer (or someone they know) that might be interested in adopting a pair of sweet dogs?
Trixie is about 6 years old. She's a spayed, UTD, half GSD/half Rottweiler. She is currently on Rimadyl. She weighs approximately 120 lbs.
Willie is a 4 year old Dachshund/Bassett Hound mix. He's neutered and UTD on vaccinations. He is not taking medications but is on a diet. He is about 60 lbs.
They both do well with cats *inside* but like to chase them while *outside*.I had them up here for a visit about a month ago (just a couple days before Soni died) and they were fine with Soni and Isis. They never even peeked at them funny. However, if they spot a kitty on the other side of their fence then they will bark up a storm.
Willie did injure Isis one time. This was almost two years ago. I was out of the room and he tried to play with her w/o realizing just how tiny she was. She is, obviously, fine now. So, I would probably not have him around baby cats.
Willie is a VERY fun loving guy! He is so easily adjustable (he likes to go places). He is very happy, does this weird "chomping" thing, and is just soo lovable!
Trixie is initially wary of most things. She has taken the addition (and death of one) two dogs very well. She just needs time.
They are not my dogs nor do I believe that I can take them in.(If that changes, then, of course, I will update).
I am unsure if there is any rehoming fee. I know that what is required is that they go to a stable and loving home. Their human may be willing to travel.
