Does anyone know of a place

in Indiana or near there that take semit feral/feral cats? My friend who rescues cats all the time and has so many now she doesn't need anymore got two kittens dumped on her. They are at the least semi feral but she doesn't have the time since she has so manyothers to tame them or find them a home. She asked me if i could take them but I don't have the room, time or money to take them and I already have enough. I have been asking around here to see if anyone would take them but no luck. Does anyone out there know any place or person that take them? If so please let me know. I am going to to a search and see what I can find.

Melissa, I found this website, maybe you will luck out and find a rescue/shelter in Indiana that will work with ferals on this list. I hope it helps. I will keep searching for you.

Check these listings, I don't know your state well enough to pick one near you:

These are the groups which do TNR, like Lisa (K&L) and I do. When doing trap, neuter, release, you often encounter kittens young enough to be socialized and made adoptable. I just fostered 3 kittens 2 weeks ago from a colony I was working. Once they were assessed, they moved on to another foster home to be with volunteers who can do the socializing. Two of those 3 are now ready to be adopted and are going to adoption days at area pet stores. The third - a little female - is being stubborn and still doesn't like human too much, he he. She'll come around just as her brother did.

Anyway, these groups should be able to help with kittens. Thing is, this time of year many are getting full. We just don't have any move room right now!

    Good luck!

Thanks everyone. My friend doesn't believe in releasing them back out. She says that the kittens will let her pick them up but they don't like it and scatter when she comes into the room and hiss at her when she looks at them in the carrier. They sound more semi feral to me and probably if someone could work with them they could be tamed pretty easy.

Yes, that is the point of the socializing. So they can be adopted and not released!
