Tomorrow we celebrate a incredibly special day. The fact that we almost weren't able to celebrate tomorrow, because of the incident in September, makes the day even more special.
July 15th, 2007 - we celebrate Kiara's 3rd Gotcha Day, the day we adopted her. Or the day she blessed our lives, I should say...
I swear she finds something to amaze me with daily. She truly is one in a million. Since day one she has been such a wonderful dog.
It's very obvious we were meant to be. The day we adopted her it was so very clear she wanted us as her family. She refused to go near any of the other visitors at the shelter that day. We were so lucky to find her that day in September, when she had been missing and our hearts were torn.
Tomorrow we will celebrate with our friends Falise, Tyson, and their mommy and daddy. She's got presents waiting for her and I plan to make some doggie cupcakes. I promise photos from then, too. For now, here are some photos from today. My little girl is so special to me.
One of her nicknames is Ang or Angie... derived from Angel. She is my angel.
Playing frisbee in the front yard. Yesterday was the first day we did this since the incident in September. I miss doing this with her so much but I am incredibly scared to. That is how she took off in September, we were in the front yard off leash playing frisbee. This time, as you can see, she was leashed.
