    Ducky won't stop screaming!

It's mostly during the night he screams for no reason. He gose around the house just randomly screaming and he dosen't stop. If you say something or look at him while he's doing it he will scream some more. I've tried locking him in my room and he screams even more. There's no where to put him where noone can't hear him. What do I do???
He also has this habit of jumping on your head in the middle of the night and screaming in your ear. And if you kick (not litrally) him off the bed he just comes back and lays on your neck. Which would be fine except he snores. I'm sorry maybe some people can put up with it but me and my sister can't and that's who he sleeps with. And we don't want to have to close the door 24/7 (he dose this during the day too just not as much and it isn't so bad cause we aren't trying to sleep). He also usually does it (well when he was locked in my room anyways) around 3/4 am.
He also has a weird habit of sucking his nipples when he is /going to sleep.

    Help!

Edit: I'd also like to know if anyone has had similar things happen. Or a reason as to why he might be doing this.

Did this screaming start recently? Is Ducky spayed?

If she is healthy, the nipple sucking suggests to me that she might be nervous.

I don't know if some Rescue Remedy would help - but definitely talk to your vet. A phone call won't cost anything.

I have that problem with 2 of my cats. They scream all night. I lock them out-it gets worse, and they actually tear up the carpet. Try keeping a night light on. That sometimes helps.
All I can offer is prayers. Rescue Remedy might help.

    Thank you so much Michelle!

Thanks, yes Ducky is fixed. His old owner said he sucked on his nipples there too. I deffinatly don't think he has a hearing problem. I just went downstairs to the kitchen (he WAS upstairs) and came running down and screamed at me cause he herd me hitting a spoon on my plate (which is what I do when it's their dinner time). Whats rescue remedy and what dose it do?

Rescue Remedy (also called Kennel Drops) calms down cats and dogs.

There is also something called Feliway. My older cat is on it for life - he used to be wild, loved being an indoor cat, took to a new cat well, but my vet says that stress caused his urinary infection. There were only a few crystals, but lots of infection. So he is on this to take the stress effects away. It was this or tranquilizers - more cats are on them than you think - and I am glad I got to use the Feliway.

I think Rescue Remedy is available at pet stores. You just put it in Ducky's water. Maybe just make a phone call to your vet, and get advice on it from the tech or the vet.

    Good luck!

    Ducky won't stop screaming

Poor Ducky! This certainly sounds like a question for your vet. You might want to consider scheduling Ducky for a check up just to rule out some physical problem he might be trying to tell you about. Before trying any over-the-counter calming products, get you vet's input to avoid any problems or side effects. Please let us know how Ducky is doing?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Sphynxes!!

Sphynxes are notorious for being verbal. He's gone through some changes recently (change of home, person). Sphynxes are VERY loyal cats that form strong bonds with their humans. Try putting nightlights out. I would also have him checked out by the vet to make sure there are no issues with his hearing.

As far a suckling goes, MooShoo did that for about a year. Sounds like it may be a trait of the Sphynx because I've never heard of any other breed of cat doing it.

When I first got MooShoo, he cried alot too. I attributed it to missing his littermates, seeing as he was a rescue along with 5 other Sphynxes. Now, he sleeps right next to me, under the covers with his head on HIS pillow. I would say give Ducky some time. Your house and persons living in it are all new to him.

Cosmo meows & howls at night (at least he used to). I bought night lights and that seems to work.

    Good luck.
