    Something new for Amy.....

I have been looking and looking for something to replace the old folded up comforter to put on the floor in front of Amy's recliner to break her fall when she trys to jump out of it. Sometimes she lands on her feet, sometimes she dosen't so I have kept something there to make all her landings soft. I have looked for months, decided a old sofa coushion would even work but never found one. Today I went to Wal Mart and BINGO! There was the perfect thing to use! I am so "cat" oriented that I don't know why I didn't think of this a long time ago and I am sure a higher power led me to a section of the store that I never go into... Lawn furniture... Lawn chair cushions! PERFECT! So $15 for the coushion, $6 for the fake fur she likes and WALLA!! A wonderful soft fall breaker and a nice relaxing place for her to lay..

Here is the old one, it is a bit more worn and washed out now...

    And now the new one....
Oh Meowmie, it this for MEEEEEE?

I think I will just lay here and never get up!

    How sweet, Gini!!
My Inka also falls a lot, and mostly lands on her tummy
Your idea is super, but you cannot put this everywhere.....; Inka falls off everything she climbs on, every chair, the window sill, her scratch tower, etc... . I always fear that one day she will break a paw...

The sofa and her chair are the only places she gets "up" on anymore, other that the few times now and then that she gets up on the perch. I think she gets up there just to prove to herself that she CAN still do it. She can control her front legs pretty good but her back legs are no good for her "landings" and they hit pretty hard. I agree, this wouldn't work everywhere but she gets in her recliner a lot, it is her favorite place to sleep it is higher than the sofa. That is why it is there.

Amy hasn't gotten in the chair since I put this down, THAT is where she lays, rests and sleepy so far.

I also have another motive for getting this.... There are nights I can't sleep and I just get up and come in here and lay on the floor with them. I have tried this out for comfort and size and it is a great FIT! I need to make several more covers for it so I can change them often.

Perfect! It looks like Amy is doing a thorough quality control check.

Like I said, she is such a sweety, and your are too, Laura, for taking such good care of her. And I love the fact that the pillow has multiple uses!

Lut, you'll have to get Inka a little tummy pillow with a ribbon to tie it with!

    Poor Inka!
