The craziest sleeping position I ever saw!! (Peggy pics)

This morning, my mom told me on the phone that for a couple of days, Peggy is sleeping in the weirdest position, sitting, with her head between her hind legs. When I visited her today, I saw what she was talking about:

I really don't think that this is normal! Have you ever seen a cat sleeping like this? And she only started doing this two days ago, so I wonder if she's ill or in pain (but she doesn't seem to be in pain, apart from this, she's acting absolutely normal).

When she eventually lifted her head, I saw she had her paws on her tail:

Two more pictures of her, I like the first one a lot:

What a beautiful cat Peggy is! And more gorgeous photographs from Kirsten. You have such talent!

Has Germany had really cold weather the last few days too? Maybe that's why Peggy has her face between her paws.. to keep her nose warm?

    Thanks!

Has Germany had really cold weather the last few days too?
Yes, in fact it has gotten very cold the last two or three days. The temperatures dropped from 60°F to 19°F within only a couple of days...

Well Kirsten, to be honest with you, I have NEVER seen a cat sleep like that sitting up. It is cute though and I'm glad to hear that she is acting normal, because I would have wondered also if there was something wrong.
I'll be curious to hear what others have to say about it.

As usual Kirsten, your pictures are so lovely. Peggy is such a pretty girl.

I really like that second Photo Kirsten.
Peggy really has such a happy , yet mischievous look on her little Cat face, you can tell that the wheels are spinning in her Cat Head.
You really are a very good photographer, Kirsten and I know I always look forward to your threads.

    Oh Heidi, how cute!

Well, still not sure about Peggy; maybe I should better email one of these photos to my vet and ask her what she thinks about it?

critter crazy, that's interesting that your Peanut did the same, especially as he was also a calico!

I've never seen anything like this either. If she didn't seem normal I'd also be afraid something was wrong. Wonder if cats get headaches? I've wondered this because my Bo likes to sleep with her head in the palm of my hand face down like that. She's the one with cronic sinus problems and I thought the pressure of my hand felt good on her head. Peggy sure is a beauty!

I've seen my Marshall and Benson sit like that to bury their noses in for a snooze, maybe not that 'so up straight though'.I think they all have their positions they like and some are just very different.Whatever comforts them.
    She is so adorable.
I'd keep an eye on her just in case , but I think that she just likes to sit like that.
    What a darling beautiful girl

I found it quite funny, and had never seen another cat do it, till you posted pics, it is funny how both were calicos, my peanut girl, looked so much like Peggy. Very strange.
