Garth Update & Pictures!

Hey everyone, I've been a little scarce around PT lately and I thought I'd just check in and post some pictures of Garth as well.

I wound up leasing Garth for September since his owner needed the extra help. I was hoping that September would turn into October, November, December, and so on, but no such luck. Two girls tried him out for the lease in this past week. One of them, my friend Erica, is probably going to get the lease since she is a more advanced rider than the other one. I'm happy for her because she has been looking for a horse to lease for so long and she'll be really good to him, but at the same time I feel as if shes stealing my horse from me. ( ) I'm really trying not to be a jealous person and just to be happy that his new leaser will be really good to him, but still in a way it kind of hurts.

His owner had me ride today, so I took some pictures of him out in the pasture. He was pretty good when I rode him, he just seemed really tired since he was ridden a lot yesterday. I guess thats better than him being crazy, though.

So now for the pictures...


After I rode I put him out in the pasture to dry off. He sure was happy to be able to eat all that grass!




Munch, munch, munch...

Thats it for the pictures...The rest didn't turn out too well, and my dad only took one of me riding and I obviously wasn't paying attention during it...(My eyes were shut and I was slouching!)

Aww! He's so cute! It was nice and sunny today in Glenview and I was stuck inside at work all day wishing I was riding!

Glad everyone enjoyed the pictures!

I was at the stables for a couple hours today. He was being ok when I rode him, just when he decided he didn't want to listen anymore he'd start to throw his head and just keep backing up, even when I dropped the reins and had no hold on his mouth. Until then we had a pretty good ride, he trotted really nicely and didn't speed too much at the canter.
