    Touring Venice

One of our excursions included a 2 day trip to Venice. We travelled by train through the Austrian Alps and the Italian Dolomites - total fun and very scenic. Venice is n amazing city built on water with so much history and culture. We were constantly getting lost as it is a complete maze of little alleyways.

It was stunning and we loved it. Too many photos to post so I have attached a few highlights.

    Enjoy!

What beautiful pictures! It is such a photogenic place, and it looks as if the weather was lovely when you were there.

Thank you! The weather was gorgeous and Venice was filled with people from everywhere, it seemed. There are so many outstanding things to see and do. I bought a beautiful book on Venetian architecture filled with colour plates that are just breathtaking. (Books are always my favourite memory of places we visit )

My brother-in-law who lives in Vienna often travels to Venice in February for the Venetian Carnevale - he inspired us to visit this amazing city. his collection of costumes and masks is unbelievable.

Aw, stunning! My SIL just returned from a month in Europe, including Venice. She said it was the most beautiful city she's ever seen.

Beautiful! I wish I had a BIL that lived in Venice. My brother in law lives in Wisconsin...a nice state but not Italy!

Oh yes, me too. They always have better pictures than you can get yourself with hundreds of tourists in the way! Although you seem to have managed pretty well on that front.

    Hi Lut!

I'm so happy our photos bring back such pleasant memories - Venice is magical and the most dramatic city I have ever visited. It will stay with me forever. I have posted just a few more photos to tickle your appetite for perhaps another visit to this great city
