    Alpacas Aplenty! *8 images*

There were new arrivals at my mom's farm this weekend - 2 therepy alpacas (she will be taking them around as therepy animals to nursing homes etc.), 3 rescue Alpacas, and a Llama and Alpaca from a lady who decided that Alpacas just weren't for her!

We're all really excited about the new guys -- had to take the 2 1/2 drive to the farm just to see them

Heres a few images of the new guys (4 to each post)!

Leroy and Seppe - they're very gentle, and are being trained to be therepy animals

I wish I could spin, I tried and it's really hard. But then I'd just have to sell all my yarn as I can't crochet or knit either. Oh, well.

Blue_Frog your moms new alpacas are gorgeous. So soft looking, now I want to go find an alpaca to pet.

My mom has been taking courses in spinning, natural dyes, etc. and I think shes going to be getting into felting as well -- i'll definately keep you in mind after shearing time next year tho!! She has a really small herd (more of a hobby farm) and most of the fleeces have been sent away to a fiber co-op mill to get them turned into wool (im getting a sweater - woo! ).

I've been trying to learn how to use a drop-spindle since I dont have room at my place for a full size wheel like she has - but I think i need more practice. My wools always come out lumpy!
