Harley D is as sweet a little face as they come, isn't he?
You speak as though you're very new to cats, though. Dog-like traits? Hmmm. I think not. Not only will cats avidly chase things, there are many breeds that fetch. Many come when they call. Not because they're trained to do so -- as dogs are -- but because they WANT to.
Healing attributes? I tend to believe this is an ANIMAL skill, not simply a dog skill. Cats are reknown for knowing when its human needs quiet comfort and a soft head under the human's hand. I'm so glad beautiful Harley D was there for HIS human in a time of need and caring. Cats bring out the good in a loving human, even if they've always hidden it behind a hardened facade.
Welcome to the joyful, loving world of cats. I think you'll find they compliment the devotion and dedication a loyal, caring dog gives to your and your friend's life. I'm pleased dear little HarleyD is blessed with the opportunity to introduce both of you to him.
