Helped catch a loose dog today.

I was driving home from work and almost home when I saw a well groomed bijon running along the parkway. I pulled over and right then a lady came running around the corner. We tried to catch him with no luck, I had my dressy clothes on and had kicked off my heels. I got in the middle of the street and waived the cars to stop.

Everyone was really nice and stopped, he then ran across the street to the other side. I got in my car and went to the other side and another lady by then had pulled over to help. I put on my emergency flashers and I stopped traffic again and this time I just yelled at the little guy to stay as loud as I could. He froze. Apparantly she was housesitting and the gardner didn't latch the gate good.

This poor woman collapsed as soon as she caught him and was breathing hard and told me she had bad knees. I gave her a ride home. There were 3 dogs in all and she had already caught the other 2. I never got the little guys name but I am so glad he didn't get hit.

How nice of you to help out. That pup was very lucky that you were driving by!

Sorry, but I had to laugh at the description you gave. It sounds like total chaos & confusion.

You are a hero! Bless you! I know that woman certainly thinks so and the bichon would too if he had any idea what kind of danger he was in. That was sweet of you to give her a ride home too. If that had happened to me I would have probably passed out in your car from sheer stress and exhaustion. I am glad everything worked out so well.

Wow, that is great!! Sounds like you did an awsome job!! Congrats!!

...you stopping traffic sounds a lot like what I had to do!! Our two horse got out, and were running back and fourth across the road. So we took a pick up and parked it across the road to stop traffic, then I jumped on the back of one horse, and grabbed the other one by the halter and road bareback home, while my dad thanked the ppl and drove the pick up back home

Thanks everyone. Yes Pam the woman nearly did pass out! Poor lady I felt bad for her. My knee is killing me today, not sure if it was from that or not but most likely.
