at what age should a dog be neutered? for example i have a german shepherd pit bull mix and it is around 11 weeks old

It depends on the gender and breed of dog. 6 months to a year old is average, but some advocate it sooner, and some later.

like Karen said,it depends.Kodie was neautered at 5 months old,he's a bloodhound/rottweiler mix,and Lucy was spayed at 6 months.I think 6 months would be ok,but your best bet is to talk to your vet about it.

I would get him spayed before 6 months. All of mine were altered before 6 months.
