    Hurry - check out CNN

I can't post the link for you - but you MUST go to CNN.com
and check out Sam the 45 pound cat - who gets to meet
    the Georgia Governor.

He has a lot to say too! (if we could only understand what he is really saying )

I'm sorry I may be speaking out of line, but to let that precious baby get that big is just plain mean. I'm sorry, but I think that should be considered some type of Animal Abuse. I mean how could you be so cruel to an animal. I just makes me so mad. I'm just glad my girls will never be that big.

Maybe now it is on a restricted diet but I doubt he always has been. It was panting hopefully he doesn't have heart failure it could have been just nervous, poor guy.

you're not out of line at all. i think having a cat that obese is just as abusive as having a super skinny cat.

Did you notice the owner in the clip... he looks rather on the super large size too so that tells me he has been feeding him more than 1 cup of food a day. He probably gets that 1 cup along with all the table scraps he is allowed to eat too. No mention was made of a thyroid problem so he is that large from over eating..

    One Cup?
Would that be like the Bottomless Cup of Coffee that you get at Dennys or IHOP?
Im sorry but one cup does not produce a 45 Pound Cat.

I was completely and thoroughly disappointed that the veterinarian/governor didn;t say anything like "A cat should not be this overweight, it can cause all sorts of problems." And to end it like it's a challege to other cats to get that fat is simply irresponsible.

I am overweight, but that is my own fault, and I know the consequences of it, and am working to change that. A cat doesn't have that knowlege or choice.

Here's how to tell the governor what you think he should say:
