More Christmas pictures...

Since Bailey and Leila had to endure having their pictures taken during Christmas 2003 in the little Santa hat and reindeer antlers, we thought it only fitting that Leo & Claudia go through the same thing this year (we didn't think about it during their first Christmas with us in 2004)...neither of them was any happier than Bailey & Leila were when we photographed them decked out for the holidays!









Leila waiting for us to start the fire so she could warm herself up - this was her favorite spots during cold evenings when we lit the fire. Leo was also one to get up close & personal with our fireplace...



Christmas was good to the kitties...here are some shots of them enjoying their stockings and what was inside them:

Finally, here are some pictures of our sweeties from the first few months of the new year:

Leila enjoying a warm January day (we had an extremely MILD winter, our high temps ranging from the 40s-60s most of the time) - this is in our 3-season room on the kitty window seat that she & Claudia love - our 3-season room is the favorite room in the house for humans and cats alike:





Though they may not admit it, our two 17-lb boys, Bailey & Leo, have become close buddies since Leo joined us 2 years ago - here's a particularly sweet picture of them relaxing together:



The next few pictures are from earier this month in the 3-season room. First, here's Leila relaxing on top of our hot tub on a very warm day - by the way, we had a few days there where we were in the upper 80s and low 90s, record-setting temps for our area in April - the cats love it, especially heat-seeking kitties like Leila!





I just loved the way the light was hitting Claudia here as she was laying in the sun in our 3-season room:





The light was hitting Leo just right also - look how handsome he is in the warm sun:



Finally, here's Bailey, who wouldn't sit still in the sun long enough for me to take a picture to finish my roll - not to blame him, though, because since he's been with us since he was 4-6 weeks old (it will be 4 years since we took him in as a very tiny, sick little kitten in late October!), he's had more pictures taken of him than the rest of our gang - here's the pic that I finally got of Bailey:

Thanks everybody! I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. It seems that my rolls of film are usually filled up with kitty pictures, but they are such great photo subjects. Leila (the 2nd cat to join our family) is quite the character - very wild and crazy - can jump to great heights, and if there is a place for her to crawl into (like my closet shelves), she will. She can be quite vicious at times, but also loves to curl up with us when she's feeling sweet. Claudia (the 4th to join our family) is a snowshoe. She's just the sweetest thing - quite playful, always talking to us with her little purrs and sounds she makes. She does like to keep our feet warm at night, and while we're up, loves our laps while we're watching TV. Leo (the 3rd to join our family) is a big ball of love, curling up on the back of whichever couch we're sitting on, and snuggling up right by our heads or our feet in bed. He's not the most active, but he's quite the talker and sweetheart. Bailey is our "first born" - he went from being a 4-6-week-old 1.5-lb baby to the big 17-lb 3.5-year-old he is now. He is strong, loves to play when he's feeling frisky, and loves to sit on our bathroom sink and let us pet him to our hearts' content. He's more elusive than the others - more independent, but he is just the sweetest, cutest thing.

When we sit or lay down at night, we're always looking for one of the cats to snuggle up, and most of the time, we don't have to wait for long. We do love them so much.
