    *** Eurasier ***

    Hi everyone

I'd like to introduce my favourite breed: EURASIER!

Do you know them? I think in the US they are quite rare, but here around (I'm form Switzerland) you see them quite often.

I love Eurasiers and I'd like to have one as soon as possibly, propably next summmer.

Eurasiers have been bred from the German Wolfsspitz, the Chow Chow and the Samoyed. They are a beautiful looking, quiet and easy-to-handle breed. Absolutely fitting for me!

I love them so much and spend my school lessons with drawing Eurasiers. This is one I did (the name is wrong, please don't notice):

Eurasiers come in a variety of colours, such as black and tan:

The so called "wild coloured" (ain't he gorgeous?):

    Wolf Grey:

    Dark Fawn:

(I'll show more colors in a second post, they wouldn't fit in here)

...and lots of shades of these colors.

Now tell me: Aren't they the most beautiful dogs in the world? For me they are!

By the way, as far as I know there are the following breeders in the US:

    www.northstar-eurasiers.com
    www.northrivereurasiers.com
    www.dancingbeareurasier.net

    Canada:
    http://members.shaw.ca/eurasier
    www.macarrasbrook-eurasiers.ca

Have fun checking out that breed and please tell me what you think of it!

    Love,

Neewbie Xaja with Cutie Joy (dotd feb 10)

I agree Xaja they are a very beautiful breed. I have heard about them before, but don't know much about them but I will look at the websites tommorow. I love the light fawn colour & the black too.

Well, some of them have much less coat than the ones on the pics. But really: longhaired dogs are much easier to deal with. My sheltie does shed a little, but the dead hair stays in the coat and I just have to brush or comb his coat every two or three weeks. And I never have his hairs all over the flat as you do with shorthaired breeds. As far as owners have told me eurasiers have a very similar coat.

And above all: I simply adore long hair...

I have never heard of them... but they are a GORGOUS breed!!! I like the 'wild coloured' one. Look like very cuddly dogs.

Wow, the drawing you did is excellent!

    Thanks for the compliment.

Me to, I like the wild coloured one. His name is Armstrong Champ von der Fuchshütte and he lives in Austria. He has got his own website: www.eurasier.at

Well the longhaired dogs I'm used to are mostly Goldens. I really don't mind the little hairs everywhere, I've had it since I was 9
    Still, they are beautiful dogs
