At the bottom of the first page of PetTalk, PetTalk stats shows there are 15,326 members.
At the top of the first page, if I click on the Community tab, then members, it shows there are 19,901 members.
Why are the totals different?

I wonder if it could have something to do with the members with zero posts. I think Karen and Paul have done a few clean-ups over the years.
I'm sure we'll get an explanation.
Oh, and have you seen how many are "really active"? Like the ones who post frequently = more than once a week.
Btw, by clicking Community and Member list, I don't see the 19,901 members anywhere. I have no option to click only Members there.

People who have started the process, but not complete the registration process show up in the count of total members, but do not show up in the list of members to anyone but me. I wait until someone posts before I officially approve of their membership, so I can be sure they are not spammers or trolls. I can see them, and any posts they make, but regular members cannot until I "approve" them.

Thanks Karen, so Community Members list is the most accurate. Good to know.
Randi, find where the page numbers are shown and you could click on a particular page. Below that (on my computer) it says "showing results of 1 to 30 of 10901.
Yes, when I click on "Last Page" there, it says 10901, although it does say 10901 whichever page you click on.
"I don't know which weapons will be used in the third World war, but in the fourth, it will be sticks and stones" --- Albert Einstein.
That's correct because 10901 is the total number of members.
I wish I could remember how many members there were, when I joined, would be fun to know. Of course, you know how many there were when you joined.

Randi, for you it's 49 pages times 30 plus 15, or approx 1485 members.
