    Picnic Thursday #533.

Time to take a blanket out and have a picnic.

    -----------

I think some sandwiches, noodle and potato salad and some lemonade and ice tea sound good.

The weather has been warm - a little too humid - but nice enough to think about being outdoors after a prolonged winter season.

    ------------

Will someone bring a ball so we can play catch with the Orc and Angel?

    DONE.

A picnic by the pond sounds like just the thing. THe weather should be great the next few days, just got to watch out for the twitterpated frogs!

I love picnics! Shrimp salad and a nice crisp Sauvignon Blanc!

Pinot wants to know if she can come and bring friends.

Oh, yes! A picnic! I'm drinking iced tea right now- would anyone like some with me?

Cassie wouldn't like to go outside, but she would like to sit in the open window, sniff the air, and hear all the different sounds. She will do that for a couple of hours if the weather is fine.

And now, a joke from one of my niece's students:
Why do hummingbirds hum? Because they don't know the words. (apparently this second-grader thinks this is the Funniest Joke Ever)
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.

I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

THey must have the same joke books my kids do... I've threatened to burn them several times.

How about some burgers on the grill? Nice overcast afternoon out here, perfect for grilling!I'll get them going, someone else man the taps and keep Angel away from the grill? She still doesn't comprehend that hot things are BAD for puppy noses.

    DONE!

    Re Kid's Jokes?

I was a senior in high school and did a week of camp counseling with a bunch of 6th graders, their jokes were the same that I learned......Now, 150 YEARS LATER? They are telling the same jokes!

    Well, it's hot.

    Damned hot.

(I'll leave the rest of that quote to those who know Good Morning Vietnam!)

Planting needs to be done, watering needs to be done, but it's going to wait until tonight.

In the meantime, I'm going to tend bar for a bit, while having a cold one myself.
