Good grief, the scaffolds are coming closer!

In a matter of days I値l have scaffolds in front of all my windows. Poor Fister will be so frightened when they put them up. One is already outside my bedroom and I bet they値l put them around the corner tomorrow - and why do they have to the most noisy part in the morning!! Glad I知 home to comfort Fister.

The pictures was taken this morning, and since then, a scaffold is up in front of my bedroom window. Only good thing is they値l be working on the roof, so hopefully the noise and dust wil be limited, and having the windows closed most of the time, is worse in summer than winter - gotta try to focus on positive things.

    Not looking good!

These are my windows - bedroom on corner.

They have not even finished the other building - in fact two other buildings.

If you look closely, you can see Fister peeking out.

What are they doing to the apartments? Looks like their installing solar panels.

Poor Fister. You play foreman and tell those guys to hurry up and get done with that noisy work!

Don't worry Randi, our Fister boy will be proud to supervise those workers!!
It is good though that you will be home during the installation of these scaffolds . I also hope it won't make your appartment to dark....

Ramanth, the people living on the top floor have been allowed to extend upwards, so I lost my loft room.

Catnapper, I have honestly been thinking of giving him 2-5 mg of those for the first few days - until he gets used to them walking up and down. At least the huge lift is far from my flat. That is one noisy machine!!

Lut, as long as Fister won't be walking around on the scaffolds outside! Sus's cat Bella did that one time, she could get Bella in quite easily, but I doubt Fister will cooperate!

It will be darker, no doubt, but hopefully they'll take it down before next summer!

I'm actually thinking about covering the one window, which faces the narrow street, up totally, that is where most of the noise will be for a long while, but what do I use?

How long do they anticipate the scaffolds will be up? You can give the workmen a bit of a wave early in the morning......

Do you have baking paper? I mean that kind of paper you can use in the oven. It will take away the sight, but not the daylight!

Sara, they started the work in June last year, and a year went by before they took the first scaffolds down, so I expect at least a year. There are 4 buildings, two of half size though.

Lut, what I need is Rockwool or something similar - it's the noise I can't stand! But it's probably not healthy to have in a bedroom.
