Camping Pictures

Alexa and I went camping with some friends this weekend. We decided to leave Payson at home with Alexa's sister since it got down to 28 degrees (-2 C) at night and he hates cold. He also hates other dogs, he's met Mookey before and they did ok because Mookey keeps to herself. But we don't think he would have liked Rooka much since she is a VERY friendly dog!

This is Rooka, she's around 2 years old. She's such a sweet girl, Jamie found her as a stray when she was a puppy. She kept trying to find the owner and after no one clamied her she decided to keep her.



This is Mookey, she's a 13 year old Corgi mix.


Here they are just wishing that Chuck would drop some of his breakfast on the ground!

I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures. Camping was great, even if it was freezing at night! The days were nice though it was around 58 (14.4 C)which was just wonderful.

I am jealous of the weather you have!

It's about 10 degrees warmer where I live, the camp ground was higher in elevation so it was a little colder. However we have had such a mild winter, the days had been in the 70s! Last week it finally cooled down into the 60s during the day, but the nights here have been cold.

For Arizona that's considered cold, especially for sleeping outside. While I love our mild winters here I do hate our summer temps which are on average around 115 F (46 C).

That sounds like fun. Maybe someday I will be daring enough to try it. I think all dogs would naturally like camping (provided it's not to cold for them). Maybe Payson can go around May.

We are actually planning a camping trip in May for my birthday. It really just depends on what dogs come. Payson doesn't do well with other dogs, he's fine in the same room as them but if a dog tries to get near him he freaks out and starts growling. If it were just him and Mookey it would be great, but I think Rooka would just be too much for him.
