    Picture Sizing

I recently posted, and attached a picture here...

The picture came out HUMONGUS !
That was not my intent, in that on some other Forums, stuff like that is automatically sized down to a reasonable size. Given that isn't done here, what is an appropriate size for an attachment ? I have a Picture program where I could do that before attaching.

Make it about 600 pixels across, that should be big enough but not too big!

If your computer uses Windows, you can download a very small (does not take up space) free resizer, which is what I have. You just click on the photo or photos you want to change, right click, and (after the first time when you click on the small size box) click OK. DONE! Use Google and search: Windows photo resizer. VERY QUICK and easy to use.

Uooo Freedom, you don't know what you ask !
I'm SUCH a whimp when it comes to downloading anything from the web, I can barely deal with updating my Antivirus

    Karen,
Thanks, I'll just resize them as you say.

    Thanks to both of you.

600 pixels across, or 600 pixels the widest dimension? i.e., should portrait-view photos be 600 pixels wide (and however tall that makes them proportionally) or 600 pixels tall?

    Thanks,
    Pat
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I would assume 600 pixels across.

If it's a rectangle, I assumed the 600 to be the largest side, whichever that may be...right ?
