    Thank you, Pet Talk Friends!

    I wanted to thank you all for your calls, emails, PMs, cards, gifts and posts here. I know they have helped.

    Reading the emails in the hospital really, really helped me get through that stay positively. I cannot tell you how much it helped my spirits knowing you all cared and were pulling for me.

    This visit was the hardest yet. I was discharged because the last tests didn't show a reason for my horrible pain. That was a huge hit because it revealed to me that I wont always have my insurance behind me. The NG tube was horrid. I was so uncomfortable and felt so icky the entire time it was in. While it worked to stop my vomiting and did begin to heal my obstructions, it was just uncomfortable and evasive.

    My doctor is referring me to IBD Center at Cedars-Sinai, one of the best in the country. That decision came with a bit of sadness too, that my doctor has done all that he has the power to do. He'll still be my local physician, but I still feel a little sad. He doesn't want to do surgery, either do I. I've learned that in cases like mine, surgery isn't a good option, especially sinse I'm so young.

    I have an appointment at Cedars on the 25th. I have a huge booklet to fill out before my "outpatient consultation", that I'll complete today. I am positive about this new hospital as I've only heard wonderful things about it.

    Thank you all so much for your kind words, prayers and emails. I wouldn't have gotten through it as well without you all.

    Thank you! I love you all!

    Love and hugs,
    Kelly

    Kelly I am so happy to hear you are home again, but understand how fustrating it must be for you not to beable to get this awful problem fixed, you have my utmost empathy and sympathy, I am an IBS sufferer myself so have a small understanding of what you are going through, although my problems are not nearly as complicated or severe, I can certainly know where you are coming from.

    I really hope the appointment you have at the center can do something to alleviate your pain and suffering, my thoughts are with you Kelly, take much care and get well soon sweetie.

    WELCOME BACK!! We missed you!! Hope you are feeling better and this other doctor can help you, since it is time to call in a specialist, it is a good thing your doctor was willing to do that.

    I have IBS and have learned to live with is over the years. I hear this thing you have is a lot worse so I can not say I know what you are going through. Just know I prayed for you and was wishing you well and hoped they could help you get better fast!! I hate you have to go through that and I am glad you are back!! Hope this other doctor can get this under control and keep you well!!

    Much relieved you're home and feeling better enough to check in! Cedars has a great reputation so I hope that the specialist can help you without dreaded surgery. You have your whole life ahead of you and deserve to enjoy it healthy and painfree. I'm so sorry you had to endure all the indignities of a hospital stay. And the restrictions and stress of health insurance sure doesn't help. Right now, take it easy and cuddle and love your furkids. {hugs}

    Kelly I'm glad you are back again

    And there is hope: in the Cedars/Sinai they will have much more experience with all kinds of your condition.

    Everything in Morbus Crohn is so much intertwined with your soul- so it is not easy to say how it goes together.

    All the best for you and the furkids.
