I am posting this today since I might not have time tomorrow.
Sometime in December 1996
my parents brought home
a beautiful black lab pup.
He was 8 weeks old.
My cousin, Heather
was home sick from school
that day and she said
she got to see him first.
She still rubs that in my face,
but she doesn't have the pleasure of
living with this sweet boy.
I tell you what, he was a little
terror when he was a puppy.
He has grown into a obdient man.
Nobody taught him how to be obdient..
.he is just VERY laid back after
he became 2 years old.
In 2002, I was working at Burger King
and I got this urgent call
from my parents saying
one of my dogs got hit by a car.
My heart sank.
I went outside and
waited for my dad
and when I got in the car,
he said that Rocky went
out of the gate to go get in the van
on the driver's side and someone
was obviously speeding or something
(it's a school zone..)
and hit Rocky.. It was a hit and run.
He was rushed by my parents to the
emergency
vet fighting for his life.
We were told he was going to be OK
after re-cooperating in the animal clinic
for 7 days.
I thanked God that night when we knew
he was going to be OK. I call him my miracle dog.
Gosh, I can't believe it's been 9 years.
I never in my wildest dreams
thought he would play with Buster
and he does everyday.
He may be 9 years old now,
but such a puppy at heart!
and he LOVES swimming in the lake!
and he's such a joy!
pictures coming in next post..
