    Raptiva for psoriasis?

If anyone here is useing this, it made the CBS news last night and you should go read this...
    http://www.pharmabiz.com/article/det...rticleid=48462

    It states
After reviewing a comprehensive benefit-risk re-assessment submitted by Merck Serono, the EMEA's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) has now concluded that the benefits of Raptiva no longer outweigh its risks.

My mother has had psoriasis for over 50 years. Really really bad psoriasis. I don't think I've ever heard of it but I can ask her when I talk to her again.

I think Raptiva is the oldest biological, so it may not have the best risk/benefit profile. Newer meds are coming out all the time; I think there are about 4-5 different antibody meds that can help people with RA, psoriasis, etc. It would be great if there were a pill for those, rather than having to take a shot. Many pharma companies are working on a pill, I'm sure.
