    Happy Mother's Day Thursday. #532

Gonna dedicate this Thursday to Moms all across the world.

    Hat's off to them!

(I saw this clip years ago and thought it was funny.....the stuff that they put up with?)

    ------------

I think we can put together a nice brunch for them.....

Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns toast, coffee, tea and juice..

    DONE.

Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all -

My church merged last summer with a neighboring church (1 mile away) and this Sunday we got to experience their long-standing tradition - Mother's Day Brunch, served and prepared by the men of the church. And all the women, even those of us who have no children - were given a rose to take home. Mine wilted in the car while I was bring Paul's mom HER Mother's Day present, but the guys were very good, knew what was in the items they were serving, and didn't urge me to accept anything I didn't want!

And I really pleased one Mom - her daughter was home from college, and I made her stand for her photo for the church faces book we are putting together. Linda, the mom, said, "This is cool! You embarrassed my teenage daughter! Best Mother's Day present today! Take another ...."

No, my 'favorite' thing was to walk up next to her when she was standing at the front door. I'd stand next to her and rest my forearm on her head - I would pretend to lean on her.....she was only 4 foot 11

She's then give me a playful jab to the ribs!

    --------

I also learned to respect her, because she had some little tricks up her sleeve.....if we were acting stupid in the car, she'd take off her shoe, then put her foot on the glove compartment and stretch to give us a good whack.

    -------

    But the best?

My jerky brother was acting like an moron and Ma told him to walk over to her.

She did that 'Vulvan nerve pinch' thing to the inside of our arms to get us to behave.

He wouldn't and turned to run away. Mom was on her last page and really mad!

She stooped over, picked up a rock the size of a quarter and threw it at him.

The rock hit him right on the point of the elbow! It was funnier that all get out because it stopped him dead in his tracks.
