Mila - mammary tumor - IMOM -- all funds raised

IMOM is raising funds to help this poor baby.

Mila was rescued 4 days ago by a Good Samaritan in this awful condition. Photos are very graphic, just warning you....
    http://www.imom.org/community/index.php?showtopic=7743

A vet has discounted their services to get this sweet girl into surgery tomorrow if IMOM can raise the funds.

Please cross-post on your facebook pages or wherever.

If you don't want to view the graphic photos, you can donate thru Chipin here: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/we...8cfec92c4fedc4

Ask your vet about microchipping. ~ It could have saved Kuhio's life.

Checked Mila's thread on IMOM today. All funds have been raised. Last posting I read said that Mila was in surgery.

Thanks to all of you who showed concern and/or donated.

This is great!! I donated yesterday, so it's so nice to hear she is getting the help she needs.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Cindy ~ On behalf of the IMOM volunteers, thank you for your donation.

I'll check Mila's thread later to see if there are any updates on her surgery and post them on PT.

First, just a note: by putting "very graphic" in the title, lots of folks won't have even opened this thread. But, this is OK to open, you put in a link and apparently THAT has the graphic stuff. Took me a few days to open THIS thread, only to learn I could have looked before.

I did not open the link. Praying for healing for Mila.

Mila's Mom has posted photos of the surgery at the link in the first thread. They are very graphic. Please don't click on the link unless you have a strong stomach.

Update from IMOM. She is out of surgery. Mila lost a lot of blood in surgery, which is why she needed a transfusion.

I confirmed that IMOM's community has raised enough to cover the costs incurred so far, including the blood transfusion that's in process right now.

I have to say, what Mila's new family is doing for this poor dog is pretty amazing. Not very many people would be willing to deal with so much to try to save a dog they just met. So if Mila didn't know what the love of a family is like before, she knows now.

Whoa, VERY graphic. But so interesting to me. And to see the after picture when her tummy is all stitched up.....she looks so good!

I really hope she pulls through. I'm sure the vet is doing everything they can. She looks like such a sweet dog.

As an intended future vet, I find the photos extremely interesting, but definitely graphic.

Poor sweet girl. I'm so glad she was able to have surgery and I hope things continue to go well with her.

Well Mila's Mom got some bad news.
Even though Mila is healing well from the surgery -- the tumor was cancerous.

I'm not sure what will happen next. You can follow her story here:
    http://www.imom.org/community/index....opic=7743&st=0

But once again, I'll warn you. The photos in the thread are very graphic.
