    A Tragic Story

Yesterday in Leitchfield, KY a fire burnt Grayson County Animal Shelter to the ground and claimed the lives of 51 innocent animal vicitims. 26 dogs and 25 cats vanished in the flames. The fire left 23 dogs alive and this only due to the fact they were out door kennels. 10 of these sweet, innocent victims landed in the Bowling Green Animal Shelter just miles from where I live. I am now going to do my best to find homes for these animals. If any of you have the time, space, money, or resorces to help them out, please do so. The following can get you in touch with the Bowling Green Humane Society.

    Indeed

Amen too that. I often wish I was old enough and out of my parents house, so that I would be capable of helping the poor babes. Right now I've taken a fancy to Beagle Rescue, but mom thinks they're to loud. There are so many animals that I could help, if only...

Wow, it's great that you've got such a refined consciousness for animals and you're not even old enough to move out.

It makes me slightly ill thinking of all those animals, the fear at the end . . .

    Was the fire accidental?

I believe the fire is still under investigation.

I'm currently trying to get a job of sorts, baby-sititing or something, so I can earn enough money to pay for everything myself, then maybe mom and dad will give in. I want to start up a hunting breed rescue, mainly beagles and pointers. I've always had a soft spot for Beagles and there are so many around here and the Pointers don't do well in shelter environmints. It seems kinda pointless to take them off the streets and stuff when they'll just starve themselves in the shelter. We live on a farm, so there'd be plenty of space and such for them.
