    Rushing the season(s)

I was somewhere the other day, maybe a supermarket, and there was a display labeled with "back to school" promotion material! Folks, it is just April - kids have not even finished this school year yet!

And I have gotten "Dads and Grads" promotional deals emailed to me as well. Are they just wishing away what little we get of spring?

I suspect the "Back to School" refered to the return after April vacation. Mass. was on vacation last week, RI is out this week.

Dads and Grads? Um, what about Moms, isn't that first?

And, Sandi, lots of Massachusetts schools are on vacation this week, not last week. With Easter, then Patriot's Day - a.k.a. Marathon Monday in the greater Boston area of the state, it only makes sense!

I think graduations are getting earlier. My youngest niece graduates from college 2 weeks from Friday Most of the high schools around here graduate in late May or very early June. I heard on the news that one of the local high schools had an alcohol awareness session for students and parents in preparation for upcoming prom. I just thought yikes, is it prom season already?!
