    AKC groups

Do you agree with the possible change of AKC groups?

At first I was totally against it. The more I think about it I don't know if it would be a good change or not. I guess it'll be one of those things I'll just have to wait and see how it goes....IF they do go ahead and change the groups.

I think the change is good but I think they need to reconsider which groups they put each breed in. Last time I checked there were some really odd placements. I think the dal is supposed to go into the working group which I think is a really good idea.

something I wnat to see how they handle it is the titles... I mean when a dog wins group.. and then that same dog gets moved to another group... is he still a group winner?... OR... let´s say several group winners get moved into same group.. do they compete again against each other to determine that....

I know the ultimate is BIS but many people "advertise"... whatever dog 2 times BIS, 15 groups, 30 breed etc....

I don't know. What are the changes? Can you post a link?
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Taz_Zoee, There was a topic in Dog General about this once...Here's the link. http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthre...ght=akc+groups

Husky_mom, If they change the groups they will do the switch at the beginning of the year. All the group standings change every year.
