Help with howling

Hello, Juneau howls when i leave for work, what can I do to stop him from doing it? btw, I just moved to a new place.

I once saw a television show on this, here's what I learnt: Dogs howl when they are lonely. It's there way of saying "is anybody out there?". It's actually how wolves communicate...that's why when a dog hears a howl, he/she responds with a howl (it's their way of saying "yes, I'm out here!"). To make your dog stop howling, make them feel less lonely. Try to trick your dog into thinking someone's still home (by leaving on the radio or TV)....leave an article of clothing behind that has your scent...also, try to keep him occupied with toys or bones.
