    Happy ending

For days, I have seen this picture posted on many of my dog groups. 4 week old puppy, dumped, sitting in animal control in Spaulding, GA, which is about 3 1/2 hours from here. Broke my heart, but I didn't know of anything I could do for him. "Last Day" was scheduled for August 24.

Yesterday morning, my good friend, Betty Wallace, called me from Oak Island, NC. She was asking me if I knew anyone in the Atlanta area who might go pull that puppy. Betty runs an all breed rescue group on the east coast of NC and also has rescued Golden Retrievers, herself. You can see her group at www.tailsuwin.org. Anyway, Betty found a lady to pull the sweet little thing. It's a girl, by the way! How do they get something like that wrong??

The lady who pulled her was driving from Atlanta to Charlotte, NC yesterday, and she brought the baby to me in Greenville. We bathed her, fed her, loved her, etc last night and she spent the night with us. This afternoon, I drove her to Columbia, SC for the next and last leg of her journey. She will be staying with Betty until she is fully vetted and old enough to go to a forever home. She is going to be alright!!!!!! Yeah!!!!! One more saved. Helen named her Molly and Betty was fine with that. Little Molly should be arriving at Oak Island any time now.

Here she is after her bath last night

Oh Logan how did you let that baby go? The picture of her on Helen's chest is killing me. I guess Mack's presence in your home right now is enough *puppiness* for you so it was probably relatively easy! LOL! I have no doubt that Molly will find a loving home. She is just absolutely precious. Thank you for getting involved. I would love to do something like that but I am a weak person and they would probably never make it to the next leg of the trip. Keep us posted, OK?

Oh Logan, that first picture is just heartbraking. But the after photos
are so heartwarming. Bless her little heart,so precious. I marvel
everytime I read stories of pups rescued and given the homes they truly
deserve.Great job & well done. I do love happy endings.

Betty called me earlier and let me know that the darling little girl is safely at her home now. It is amazing what a good flea bath and some food will do for a little girl like that. She was transformed when I bathed her last night. I failed to tell you that I ended up in the bathtub, in my clothes, to bathe her. I had to comb the fleas off of her in the tub while Scott sprayed the flea spray on the comb for me. All that black stuff on her head was flea poop.

She's going to be one happy little girl. Betty has 3 other foster puppies right now, about the same size and age, too, and she says that they are already playing together.

I will post more pictures of Molly and her new friends as Betty sends them to me.

PS. Pam, you're right. You know, I had Honey and Lilly together as puppies, but Mack beats all. He needs my total attention right now!

Oh, Logan, I just had the chance to get over here now. I had no idea she was such a baby. How dear, how darling, and how utterly irresistible! Just think how much better she must have felt just from having that bath. You and Betty and *the lady* who went to the shelter are guardian angels. This one is going to be one to remember.

Good job everybody for saving that little doll!! She is a pretty as a picture. Who could have abandoned that beautiful little girl? I would have taken her myself if she hadn't found a home.

Just came back for another look at that baby. So sweet. I was just
thinking that today could have been her last day on earth, but for a great
group of loving, caring people who cared for her along the way to her new
forever home. God love those who care for these less fortunate babies.

Have a wonderful life little Molly.
