The online memorial Gini's brother talked about setting up is now online. I posted the link to it here - in the thread in General.

Seeing the pictures Kelly posted over in Gini's thread, I think some pink drinks are in order! With a side of stale pink peeps, right?

I wish I had known Gini much better than I did. She sounds like - well, wonderful and full of life doesn't begin to cover it. Shortly after she got out of hospital after being in ICU - January of last year, I think - I messaged her to ask in confidence what had happened. She kept her confidence, but was so kind and sweet.

Pink - strawberry cake with pink frosting here! Who wants to share?

Miz Gini was one of a kind.

She had an incredible wit, was compassionate and had the ability to put you at ease the moment you met her.

I went back to read some of the old California BBQ threads and can't say how many smiles and laughs are in those posts.

I betcha there is a 'hellacious' party going on.......

LOLOLOLOL You are absolutely right!!!! Between her and Phred and Jonza, I can only imagine. "God, how do I deal with all this riff raff?"

Oh how Gini would laugh if she could read all of her tributes.

One very pink lemon drop martini please.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    and slushies too!!!!!

When I went to the BBQ, the deal with my husband was that he would join me as I fly down to LA for a barbeque with people that I have never met in person, then he gets a motorcycle.
The motorcycle currenty collects dust in the garage and I have great memories of wonderful people and a fabulous host.

I think I got the better part of the deal.

These are not the droids you were looking for

I was just running errands and was in line at CVS behind a young woman with very bright PINK sneakers on, and I had to smile, thinking Gini would love them! She and I had a conversation about them, she said they were so pink she almost didn't buy them, but now loves them, especially for her kickboxing class!

Hmm, peppermint tea for this chilly evening?
