    Peanut's Tummy Update

Thought I'd give you an update on how Peanut's bare tummy is doing.
Update: 7/17/03 I posted a new pic at the end of the 6/26/03 pics. It's the very last one in this post.

Here it was on 4/17/03 when I first posted about it.

Then it looked like this on 5/29/03 when I posted the last update.

And this is what it looked like yesterday.

It's looking so much better these days. And her legs are all hairy again too. So I don't know what did it, but she's doing much better now. A few more months and you won't even be able to tell her tummy was bare at one point.

    Update: 7/17/03

You can barely see the pickness anymore, and the hairs are starting to curl. It's looking real good these days.

Oh, and I was thinking about it, and the one other thing I did was stop buying Temptations for treats. I'm thinking maybe she was really allergic to something in them and that's why all the hair is growing back.

Thanks for the update. Blowing furrever kisses to that tum-tum!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Cat's hair grows back really fast! It wasn't even month after Inka's neutering, when all her hair was back and no more scar was to be found!!

Glad to hear Peanut's fur is growing back. Love the tummy pictures. I hope we can still get to see some when all the fur is grown back.

*snirk!* Sorry, couldn't help thinking of Peanut's reaction to your photo shoots of her tummy.

"Oh, Meowmy, MUST you? Is nothing sacred any more, even my very private tum-tum?"

(Or is my Livvy the only cat that feels that her tummy is sancrosant?)

Oh sure...just tempt me with that soft belly and I can't pet it!

I'm glad to hear she's doing better!

Thanks everybody. Every morning she gets her medicine, then a treat, then a belly check. she really doesn't like it, and if you see in the pics her feet are kinda blurry because she was trying to get away from me. I smooched on her and told her to hold still "for one second!" She somewhat cooperated, but then demanded another treat afterwards. I, of course, complied with the request.

Although, if Inka's hair grew back in a month, and Peanut's is only a little more than peach fuzz in two months, it makes me wonder if she is still licking, just not enough to completely wear the hair down. The problem is that I never see her licking her tummy. I do see her gnawing on her leg now and then, but not her tummy.

Oh well, as long as the hair is growing back I'm not going to worry. If it starts disappearing again though......

Thanks again for all the nice comments about my spoiled little sweetie.

And after I took pics of her tummy - which she hates - she had to take it out on something, so she started killing her mousie.
