    Sketch

I was just going on and on yesterday about how much I love my cat. How much I loved the way he thought he was a dog, and ran and played with the dogs, and cuddled up to them whenever they layed down to rest.

Well today he is gone. I woke up this morning thinking it was odd that he was not sleeping with me or Visa as he always did. I quickly forgot about it until I went outside. I was about to go to work when I saw him laying dead on my neighbor's lawn. I think maybe he was poisoned, as he looked perfect otherwise. I have the best boss in the world. I called her, bawling my eyes out, and she gave me a ride to work and treated me to lunch. I don't know what I'd do without a friend like her.

I am so sad..I have the worst luck with cats, and Sketch was the best cat there ever was. Solo is going to miss him so much. They were the best of playmates. I have videos of them playing when Solo was only three weeks old. I just can't believe he is gone. A house just doesn't feel like a home without a cat, but I don't know if I can ever get another one. He was perfect. I have fostered uncountable litters of kittens, kittens upon kittens..and he was the only one I ever kept.

    I'll miss him forever.

Oh no Jordan, I'm so very, very sorry. It must be so hearbreaking to find Sketch in such a tragic way.

RIP Sketch and look for Boots when you get there.

Aw Sketch sounded like such a great cat. I'm so sorry he passed away, Its too bad you couldn't find out what happened to him. I can understand why you don't want another cat right now, but sometimes the best way to help get over a loved one is by occupying your time and love with another.

But in your case it may not be, who knows.

One again, I'm very sorry about your kitty

    Rest in Peace Sketch.

Dear Sketch...rest peacefully and play hard at the Bridge.

I found a dear cat I had raised from a kitten (the one time I allowed myself to adopt a young one) was hit by a car and I found him on the road. It is just beyond decription, the shock.

That might have happened to Sketch too, except he was able to make his way onto the lawn...that happened to my sister's cat.

    I feel for you. {{{{hugs}}}}

Thanks everyone, I'm really going to miss him. I try not to think about it too much -- I knew the risk when I allowed him to be outdoors. I thought that because he only ever went in my yard and my neighbor's yard that he would be safe. He never once crossed the street or went passed the neighbor's house. I will have to let my neighbor know as they own his cousin (a kitten from another litter I fostered, related to Sketch). Maybe a car is leaking antifreeze or something. I just don't want to think that someone would deliberatly poison him..Thanks again everyone, I appreciate it. I will post a couple pictures for you all to see eventually.

I am so sorry. That's a horrible thing to deal with. I mean, when your animal is sick you at least know the time may come. But for it to be so sudden and tragic....
RIP Dear Sketch. You and Boots should have fun together at the Bridge.

Oh, I'm very sorry to hear about Sketch. I hope you're wrong about the way he went to the bridge but at least now he's not suffering and is at peace. Prayers going out to you both.
    Blessings,
    Mary
