I talked to Terry a little earlier - he's on the road again today - but when he gets home he is going to let Jack out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. Expand his horizons a little. I'm sure Cracker Jack will be quite thrilled. Can't wait to see Peanut's reaction.

However, the part I found interesting was that Terry took the initiative and said that he would let Cracker Jack out. I didn't have to ask him or anything, he just said he would do it. First time since I've known him that he took the initiative to do anything with the cats besides give them treats. Way to go Cracker Jack!

Thanks again everyone. And yes, Richard, Tubby has left a void - a huge one! Not in my heart, but in my daily life. Nothing or no-one can take the place of Tubby in my heart, but hopefully Cracker Jack will help fill the empty feeling the house has had lately.

What I do know is that after Tubby, but before CJ, Peanut was just fuss, fuss, fuss all morning long and most of the evening too. Haven't heard a fuss out of her since Jack came home. Hissing yes, fussing no. Don't know what that means......

Ohhhh...congratulations! He's one handsome fella. Very wise to adopt a seven-year-old. Much less likely to drive Peanut to distraction.

Cracker Jack, you are a lovely, LUCKY boy with a great new and expanded name! Enjoy your new family, honey, and I know they'll enjoy you. And PT will too! Prepare to be posted, kitty.

Now, remember to give your beautiful sister baths sometimes. It will make your brother angel Tubby smile. Even if she gets grumpy about it. Especially if she gets grumpy about it!

    I believe you're right here!!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

Congratulations on adopting Cracker Jack!! He's such a handsome boy! You have such a kind heart to adopt an older cat. I love hearing adoption stories of older kitties, that just makes me very happy!

Cracker Jack is perfect - the name, the kitty - and I am so glad you 'dopted him! Peanut may not be glad right now, but given time, they'll go together as well as peanuts and cracker jack the real thing! He's very handsome, and a sleek-coated contast to Miss Flufflygirl!
