    Exclamation Smokey's Findlay Report (via "Safe Mode")

    SmokeMuttz, here ...
    We're finally *limpin along* in "Safe Mode" (whutebber dat is) till Dad figgers out
    whut's makin Winnerz *CRASH* ebery tyme we start it up.

    FURST Off - Dad wunts Cinners an Me to THANK allua our FurBuds anna Two-Leggers
    fur the NICE way ya'll treated our lil FosterSis - MiniMutt (aka Heidi)!!
    She sez she hadda **BLAST** all weekend!!
    She mita *curled a lip* an muttered a lil *Grrrrr* or two iffin sumbuddie got into her
    tiny lil space; but she alluz mellows out an nebber holds a grudge. Heck, she
    eben did sum *rompin* wiffa LCJ's (Lawn Chair JERK's) labby pup "Logan".

    We set uppa fire affore we wandered into da Bark Park; but az usual,
    Chef Mr. leCarl did a SUPER Job of doin allua grill werk an had lunch ready in good tyme>
    ***YUMMIE***!!
    And Dad sez ALLUA other dishes an sides were DEEEE-Licious!!

    WELCOME to Madi's Mom (Cheri) an Madison ... they got da Urlee Burd Award fur bein
    Furst inna Park on Sunday! And NOW they're Postin Pet Tawkerz, too!
    SO SORRIE poor lil Madison became wunna "Logan Lab's" *squeek* toys;
    but Madi's Mom rescued her affore any damage was done.

    Dad really felt sorrie for Jen's lil PupKids - they were targets of LCJ's labbby, too.
    Jen (some of us only knew her Sunday as "Lady in Pink" (wuz she wearing sumpin PINK??)) is
    anudder "Local" that we HOPE joins us here at Pet Talk and at future Gathurins. She was
    having a really hard tyme with LCJ and his Labby picking on her pups;
    NOT to mention that "Logan Lab" had *JUMPED* on her twice - first to try
    to grab her drink cup from her hand (and she was holding it UP HIGH),
    and a second time to grab her shirt - when he got some SKIN!

    She DID APPRECIATE Very Much that Carl came over to her (she'd retreated to the
    East Side picnic table to "bawl her eyes out" (her words)) and Carl stopped to be sure
    she was OK. We learned all this on Monday when Dad tooked us ober to the Dawg Park to
    'take the edge off' affore we visited at da Kuhn Dawg Sankshooairey.
    Jen (Lady in Pink) was sittin atta piknik tabel when we romped in an sed 'Howdie' to her Pups.
    She an Dad wuz chattin fur a while whenna bell went off in Dad's head ~ *BOING* ~
    'HEY - are you the "Lady in Pink" from yesterday?' *YUP*!

    Jen's a REALLY *Nice Girl* wiffa pretty when she's not spittin nails at
    a CREEP like LC Jerk! She & Dad wuz tellin CREEP Tails fur a while.

    As fur Our Miz Amy's tellin off LC Jerk - she dun a *PHINE* Job of it ...
    but he wasn't listnin.
    Onna way out (when most ebberbuddie left fur lunch atta Pavilion), LCJ was
    for some reson out of his LC and over by the gates runnin his mouth ---
    Dad sed maybe it was wuz tyme to 'make a phone call' ... LCJ offered his phone number again. We shudda called; but LCJ did vacate the place soon after.
    It was such a PLEASANT Gathurin after he left!

    Monday wuz PHUNN, too. We started atta Dawg Park an ran into Miz Jen - then off to
    da Kuhn Ranch ... MOM called onna way ... "Where ARE you guys!??"

    We all stormed in an made it a TWELVE Dawg Gathurin =
    da regular 5-Dawg Kuhn Klan, da three Army Dawgs, Keegan, an Us Three ...
    not to mention allua TWO-Leggers ...
    * Mom & Dad (Diana & Carl),
    * Christy, Jasmine & Dominic,
    * "Lil Sis" Julia & Hubby/Santa look-alike "Unka Joe" (they run the Toledo Kat Pharm),
    * Staci and
    * Our Dad (Phred).

    It was a really ***PHUNN*** weekend - GrEAAAAAT Tyme had by all!!

    Iffin ya *missed* it - we *missed* you, too ~~~ DON'T miss da next wun!

    I was talking about this guy again today and said to my dad that as a businessman he's pretty stupid b/c he drives a truck with his business name and phone number on it and here he is acting like a total horses A$$ at the dog park. Word of mouth can spread like wildfire - especially BAD word of mouth. Who would want to do business with him? Seriously - I hear someone say "insert business name here" and I'd say - "DON'T go there - he's an A$$hole." But that's not what my dad called him - he called him a dumb Sonuva_______!!!

    Really enjoying everyone's pictures, wish we could have been there with you all. Sounds like a perfect day except for Mr. Lawn Chair. (Too bad, he sounds like the kind of guy that will ruin the dogpark for a lot of people.)

    The kids are all just adorable - Jasmine looks so grown-up! - wasn't it just a few picnics ago she was splashing around in the dog water bowl? Gosh, how handsome little man Dominic is now too! Heidi is really cute - in a couple of those pictures she looks like a mini-Kiara!

    Thanks for posting all your pictures.

    Itis on the south side of BG, off Route 6. If you go east on 6 from 75, it is right behind the jail, next to the Dog Warden.

    Hey hey. I'm glad I could make it for some of the fun. It was nice talking to people and getting to know them. Sorry for Logan, I haven't seen him all summer, but before the summer, I swear he was a nice dog. Lol Who knows what can happen in the course of four months though. I love all the pictures!!! I hope we can do this again sometime, and if we can make it to the memorial day one (that would be my husband and I :-D :-D :-D) I'm excited for you guys to meet him and him to even go to the dog park. Lol

    Sherri,
    We live on the north side of Findlay so going to BG's dog park was almost as easy as going to Findlays. Especially since the car goes faster and the dogs don't get excited at every turn, every stop light, every stop sign. The last time I went was a couple of years ago. WE first started going because it was easier for Amy to meet us there with her dogs than her coming all the way to Findlay. We were lucky enough that usually we could use the one with the agility equipment. The upside of theirs was Findlay's was always muddy in the winter and spring. Theirs is in a grass field and stays nice all winter. The downside is that they have no entrance area - you have to unlock the gate while holding 4, 5,6 dog leashes who all either want to get in or don't and are going every which way. And sometimes the locks were not the best and it took several tries. I "lost" a dog every now and then and chasing them was not my idea of fun. One of the reasons I quite going was that because they are not used as much as Findlay's rabbits use them for their bathrooms and they dogs would not stop eating their droppings and occasionally we would find a nest and it is very hard to keep Taggert away from a nest of baby bunnies. After we got Pippi, we took her up there and she ate (sorry this is so gross) way too much bunny droppings and came home and threw it up on my carpet. I also was not working then so I could take them every day either place I wanted. I liked BGs alot but then with the bunny problem and they started letting the agility equipment go down hill so we quit going. At registration, they give you a little plastic tag with a number in it and you have to wear it on their collar (although we never saw anyone ever check). People were always asking me what the number meant. It may be different now but very few people use that dog park. We would sign up late in the season and yet our dogs had relatively low numbers like in the 50's or whatever.

    The dog warden is right next door. A lady is the head warden. She got so used to hearing all my dogs bark when we arrived that she knew when we were there and she would come out and wave or come over and talk a little.

    As an aside the van we used to drive did not have tinted windows. Before Pippi and her nervous, jumpy ways, the dogs would sit in the car like kids. 3 in the rear seat, 2 on the middle or if I was alone with them 1 upfront with me (Snoopy). People would drive by on 75 and just look and stare and point. It was hilarious to see them all just sitting up like that and I am sure if I saw a car like that I would have pointed and laughed too. One time I had to stop in BG and get gas with them all in the car. Someone asked me if I was doing doggy day care. They were shocked when I said they were all mine!

    If you want to know more or want me to go with you to check it out some evening or weekend day, pm me and I'll give you my phone number. The park office is a little difficult to find too but I would be glad to take a road trip with you. Not too long ago we went by and it looked like they have added new equipment and maybe cemented them into the ground so they couldn't fall over.

    Oh, I forgot unless it has changed, they only have a park bench for people to sit on near the gate. There are not picnic tables and absolutely no shade.

    dogs are compelled to snarl occasionally."
