I'm getting very excited!!! AmberLee, Carla, and I should hopefully be leaving for the cat show around 1pm or so. Carla had a meeting to do so this is why we're getting a late start. Don Juan's Mom will meet us there. I'm bringing my camera and will try to take lots of pictures. Tomorrow we're planning on heading out much earlier so we can hopefully be able to see things that we've missed today. I know we'll all have a great time.

I had a great time today. I was able to see most of the cats in their cages and I also saw most of the breed profile lecture. I brought my camera but I didn't end up taking any pictures. I will be taking pictures tomorrow.

AmberLee, Carla, and I will be getting a much earlier start tomorrow and should be there by around 10:30am or so. It stays open until 4pm so we should have plenty of time to see and do everything that we want to.

I also had a great time. I didn't end up buying much. I only bought one cat t-shirt. It has cats in cable cars on it. I've never seen this before and I thought it was very cute. I took a few pictures and I'll post them here.

Here's a very cute Silver Marbled American Short Hair.

    A very cute Russian Blue.

The cat in sheep's clothing. The Sel Kirk Rex.

    More pictures in next post.>>>>

    An adorable Ragdoll kitten.

Wolflady holding an Oriental Shorthair. He sure is a cuddle bug.

That's all from me. I hope you enjoyed them.

BCBlondie! I didn't know you were there! I'm so sorry we missed you! Wasn't that Cat-Minster thing cool? We didn't take any pictures, but saw LOTS of kitties and kept running into Pet Talk people. I even got to pet a Selkirk Rex - their fur is so soft - and a sphinx. It really is like petting a warm peach. Wolflady, Amberlee, KAK - it was good to see you all again.

The show was totally fun! I LOVE those orientals! *swoons*
Thanks for posting those pictures, Tracey. Holding that kitty was like holding a warm water bottle. He was so sweet!
All of the cats at the show were beautiful though, and we met some nice folks who were willing to talk to us about their breeds.
I went a little crazy with the shopping and purchased a couple of t-shirts, a mug and a tiny white kitty.
It was good to see PTers at the show!

    **hugs**

Yes! That was me. I was with a male friend who had never been to a cat show. We were both getting tired, so we left shortly after that. It was a lot of fun. Next time .... and there WILL be a next time .... we MUST meet!

Talking Photos in the San Francisco Chronicle

Something about that photo of the Sphinx wrapped in a towel made me think of a prizefighter waiting in his corner. We saw the little nekkid guy with the vest made from an athletic sock on Saturday.

The copper-eyed white Persian was featured in the Breed Showcase talk on Saturday as a particularly fine example of his breed.

Me, I came away from the show with one toy, one tiny "lucky cat" and LOTS of free samples!

I petted that Sphynx in the picture - the one in the towel and I got TONS of samples! They were giving away lots of Greenies! My cats are in heaven!
