Oh Tracey, no - what a shock. He was far too young, but absolutely nobody could have worked harder to make Starr well than you did. I am just so sorry that his condition could not be overcome.

We will not forget you, beautiful boy.

I am so sorry!!!! It was just two weeks ago yesterday that I had to make that horrible decision for Leonardo!!! I think it was the hardest thing I had to do in my life.

Sweet Starr, you left us way too soon. I know you will be missed a lot.
Say Hi to my Leonardo and Luke when you get to the Rainbow Bridge.
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

I am so very sorry to hear about Starr. HUGS to you.

You know, the other day I was rumaging through old PT Christmas cards, and I found the very first card you sent me, which had kitty fur in it ...... and there was Starr's fur .....

    (((huge hugs))))

    Rest in Peace Starr

I know how difficult a thing it was for you. When I had to have Miley put down, it broke my heart - and it is still aching. When a cat looks healthy but you know they are in pain, and it won't change for them, there is not much else you can do for them.

I hope Starr runs in to Miley girl and they spend lots of time playing, without pain and discomfort.

    You did the right thing.

    A lump in the throat,
    A tear in the eye,
But there's a bright new Starr
    Shining in the sky.

Rest in peace, Starr, and play happily at the Bridge as you await your beloved Tracey.

Tracey...I'm so sorry about your beloved Starr...We here at PT all share your grief today, and most (if not all) of us have been where you are. Even though Starr was just 4, his problems were really diminishing his quality of life, and it sounds as though you had done all you could for him. He knew how much you loved him, and as you said, he is in a place now where he has no more pain or sickness, and is running and playing happily in the sunshine at the RB...

What a handsome boy Starr was...Just know that he loves you, he's watching over you and will always be with you...God bless...

Thanks so much everyone for all of your nice comments. I'm still getting major LES when I read them. Tonight at feeding time, it seemed so strange not to have to feed Starr his babyfood mixture mixed with his herbal supplements. I know I'll get used to this in time. My cats didn't seem to mind because they could be fed sooner. Before any one even mentions it, no I won't be adopting another cat any time soon. I've realized that I need to decrease my numbers not increase or maintain them. Hopefully I won't have to go through this again for many many years though.
