It's not perfect by any means, living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are all small. No garden for Bob, I do have a small patch of lawn out back but I can't enclose it, that put me off more than anything, nearly turned it down because of it. But then I had a think and realised I could be waiting another year or more for another to come along, and then it may not have the positive points that this one does have.
Which are; An end bungalow, so only one party wall to share, and that is to the bathroom and (postage stamp ) hall. A shower (how I've longed for one of them). It's nicely carpeted and has lovely blinds. Easy clean because it's small. Short walk to shops. Last but not by any means least, just a few streets away from my family.
A new life awaits.
Well...first of all my beloved Bobby...here in Southern California the "surfer dudes" wear the hat with the bill to the back. It makes them look especially...well Gomer Pyle is what I think when I see that fashion statement!Originally Posted by ChrisH
So no, my little pretty, you can wear whatever you like!
But now you have a nice new house...with a shower! I bet you'll enjoy that! Now I'll never be able to entice you...
Congrats Chris!
Congratulations Chris!! End bungalow sounds great, and as you say, it's easy to clean. You'll love the shower too! and you'll go for more walks with Bob - he'll love that!
You know we're all curious, so grab your camera and let's see it!

Congratulations Chris. I think you and Bob will enjoy going for more walks. And he will meet lots of new friends. And of course, spending more time with your family will be great for both of you.
Such great news! I wish you all the best in your new digs.
Love,
Sas and her campers!
Congrats on the new place. Will you have a hallway, or space
to pitch the ball for Bob? I hope you can share pictures once you get
all moved in & settled.

Congratulations Chris! I'm pleased that you have got it. When are you thinking of moving in?
Congratulations, dear. We are so excited for you.

Congrats Chris!!! I'm sure you'll love living in your new place.
Thanks everyone.
No room inside and the hallway is a very small square. Although I could, in theory, use the small patch of lawn out back he would have to be on a leash and I don't think it would work.Originally Posted by lizbud
However, there is a park just down the road a little and although he can't go off leash there either a little walk should do us both good. Plus if I can't take him my family have promised to do so.
The plan is for moving in day to be Friday the 7th.Originally Posted by Killearn Kitties

Once again, many thanks to you all for the many good wishes and thoughts.
Well, just a couple more days to go. Right now I'm feeling ... scared isn't really the word but it's the best I can come up with, you know that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach, not butterflies, something else? Logic doesn't come into it, I can't reason it away.
Anyhow, the die is cast now so nothing to do but get to the other side and I'll be back to tell you how it all went after I get there. Well, sometime after, depending on when I get the internet back.

Yes, Liz. I'm doing all the packing and sorting but my son and daughter-in-law are doing the fetching and carrying and will move my stuff Friday. Plus my eldest grandaughter will be in the bungalow to sort things out. Bob, Ebby and myself will be the last to leave.
