    I thought this was a wonderful prayer for all the animals.

    A PRAYER FOR ANIMALS

    Hear our humble prayer, O God,
    for our friends the animals,
    especially for animals who are suffering;
    for any that are hunted or lost
    or deserted or frightened or hungry;
    for all that must be put to sleep.
    We entreat for them all
    Thy mercy and pity,
    and for those who deal with them
    we ask a heart of compassion
    and gentle hands and kindly words.
    Make us be true friends to animals
    and so to share
    the blessings of the merciful

    **Albert Schweitzer**

    I'm so glad you all started this. I had gotten to the point where I keep a handwritten list by my computer....just so I don't leave anyone out.

    I think of you all often and the needy ones are definitely in my prayers. In fact, the ones that aren't needy are too, as are all of their human counterparts! LOL!!

It hasn't gotten it's shots yet, and Im worried about Parvo(a deadly disease that he can get from other hasn't-gotten shots yet dogs)It doesn't have it now, but still...Im also really anxious about training it properly.This is a great idea!

    I had to tell you all this story. I put my 4 yr. old in bed at night. Well, when we said our prayers the other night, I added God Bless Killian. She said, Who dat? I told her who. She said okay, and repeated it. Then I said Bourbon. She said Dat anuder one? I said, yes. I said Bailey and she looked at me and said, How many are dere??!!! I just laughed.

    I added Sheba to the list. I removed Bailey since everything has healed from the surgery. I also removed Finny since he didn't have Parvo. Hooray for Bailey and Finny.

    Beth, what a sweet girl you have, I can tell she will love animals as she grows up thanks to her Mom.

    I tell you, that little girl has more compassion than some of the adults I have encountered.

    Bridget's Daisy needs our prayers! She will be traveling to the vet tomorrow to have a bump checked out. (SEE Dog Health: Bump?!)

    Good luck Bridget & Daisy! Let us know what happens.

    Thank you so much for thinking of my baby Daisy girl! For those of you who didn't read my other post, Daisy has a bump on her chest. The earliest vet appointment that we could get is two weeks away! I don't know how I will wait that long to know what is going on... but for now I sincerely appreciate all your prayers. I pray for everyone on that list every night.

    I guess I'll be adding another one guys.

    I just heard word from my mom today that my cat Tinker is sick.

    She started feeling poorly a couple of days ago--Mom thought it was because Tink got into the trash and ate a few things she wasn't suppose to. It could be a liver disease or lukemia...we are waiting on the bloodwork results. They are treating her for an infection right now. The vet thinks that it might be an infection in the bladder that has moved up to the kidneys. He bioped the bladder and there were bunches of bacteria. She is tender in the intestines and kidney area, as well. Her fever was 104-105.

    She goes in on the 7th for another exam.

    Please pray for us!
