    I guess the big question is - is the cancer in the joint only or has is spread into your kitty's system?

    If it's localized - go with the amputation.

    Agreed, amputation if it's not already spread.

    You mention the word tumor, but, is it cancerous? I think I would need to know that first and foremost.

    I would probably lean towards amputation....
