You can just tell how much grandpa and Bowser enjoyed meeting each other again - and I'm sure they're together at this very moment.
I'm so sorry for your loss Tonya.
Thank you for a wonderful tribute, Phred. You were a good dad to Bowser.

Tonya and Phred,
This is a bittersweet time for both of you and I am so sorry for your losses. The sweetness of a reunion for Granpaw and Bowser is such a wonderful thing; their time had come albeit too quickly for everyone left behind. The photo Phred posted tells the most wonderful tail - a wistful look and a happy heart.
Every person should have the privilege of a family and extended family who cares so much. Many hugs to everyone.

Today, May 24th, is gonna be a *Ruff* one here at the Ranch ...
One long & short year ago, our Beloved Fluffy-Tailed FluffBall, Dear Bowser,
said his G-Byes and departed for the Rainbow Bridge.
Today will be a sad one, but filled with the hundreds of Happy Memories of the Joyful Tymes
Bowz shared with me, his loving "Second Dad", Bus Driver, and obedient Butler.
I still use HIS food scoop to measure out Cinder & Smokey's meals ...
just couldn't throw that now extra one away.
Do Cinder & Smokey *miss* their Lil Brudder?
It would be a stretch to say they miss him now - it's been a while in a Dog's mind ...
But they sure did MISS him a year ago. I'd forget and call all three names ...
C&S would *look* for where the Lil Guy had wandered off to ...
Bowser was truely Blessed with a pair of "siblings" that accepted him into a pretty *tight*
group of two ... they became the Three Amigos the first night Bowz spent at the Ranch!
He really had trouble 'keeping up' with the Big Dawgs ... his half-sized legs had to
take a LOT more steps to keep up with the youger set ... but they usually slowed
their pace a bit to let him catch up. And when Bowz wanted a rest stop -
EBBERbuddie stopped together (usually). Then again, Bowz got pretty good at
tucking up into a ball and just *tumbling* along behind the other two!
He took some wild rides tied behind C&S - but ALWAYS came up *smilin* and *wavin* his
famous Fluffie Tail!
If you're new to the Bowser Tails ... it all started out at 9:00 on January 11, 2005
with a somewhat frantic post by Zippy-Kat ... "A Plea for HELP!!"
Less than 24 hours later Cinder & Smokey had been dumped with Cali, Unka Pat and Miz Joan;
and da Bus Driver was headed into the Hills of West Virginny with the Rescue Bus ...
on a summer-like day with the threat of an approaching Bilzard!
But don't let me spoil the Tail ... read all about it at >>>
http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=68494
But don't ever let it be said that I din't have HELP!
Lordy, did I have HELP!
Lil Cali Pup, and her Mom & Dad (Pat & Joan) have taken the FurKids in more times than
I could ever count; watched 'em through my heart attack and hospitalizations;
then Zippy-Kat organized the "Phred's Thank You Box" AND a huge Donation;
A Zillion Pet Talkers took bets that Bowz was NOT needing a Furrever Home;
and the list of Phans & Supporters grew every day.
And of course - my very 'speschul thanks' to Dear Zippy-Kat -
without her, and her beloved GranPaw - I'd have never had Bowser to share my life with.
I often asked Bowz if he was 'happy' with his second Family ...
he rarely gave *kisses* --- but he sure could *WAVE* that Fluffie Tail!
I always took that as his sign that Life at da Ranch was pretty much A-OK!
THANKS, God, for letting us 'borrow' him for a while ... it was way too short of a stay;
but I tried to make it a truely Happy Tyme for the Lil Guy.
Luv ya, Bowz!!
/s/ Your Second Dad, along with Cinder and Smokey

I remember a year ago, baking cookies to take with us to the dog park, experimenting and making a Bowser-shaped cookie. Funny, but with all the cookie cutters I own, there wasn't a-one the right size and shape. He was a unique little guy, with a heart as big as all outdoors. That fluffy flag-tail waving surely warmed hearts wherever he went, and I am sure he's met my mom and his grandmom as well as his first Dad up there at the Rainbow Bridge.
I've Been Frosted
It will be a rough day today. One long and short year ago so aptly describes things, doesn't it?
You were much loved, Bowser, much loved.
Cyber hugs today, Phred, real ones tomorrow.
Johanna
Hard to believe a year has already passed.
I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow Phred and giving you some hugs...here's some to tie you over till tomorrow
We'll miss you at the park tomorrow Bowser.
Huney, Bon & Simba-missed so very much
Remembering all the Rainbow Bridge Pets
((((hugs)))) from us to you, Phred, and to Tanya. You're in our prayers. It is hard to believe it's already been on year. He was such a sweet little fluffy guy, and you gave him a great home. I'm glad we got to know the little fella, and I like to think he was there to greet our boy on his arrival.
I was thinking of little Boswer just the other day!!! I miss him too!!!
Anna, please give Phred a hug from me tomorrow, ok?
I'm sure Bowser will be there with you all, you just won't be able to see him. He will probably bring a bunch of his RB pals with him.
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

My grandpa loved that lil' dog dearly but age kept gramps from giving Bowser everything he needed. Bowz was fed and he was loved but a 90yr old man can't readily give him adequate exercise/play time. You provided him that and more. Thank you, Phred, for giving Bowser the best years he ever knew.
