I am really disappointed the cop agreed to go, everyone has a price. But, a bottle of beer, for pete's sake?

One of the more interesting women to have put a mark on history?

I was watching PBS last night and they did a small story on the first Black woman to get a pilot's license. She had to go to France to get it and this was in the 30's?.

This makes me laugh when everyone talks about women politicians. The 'real' women went out and did things they wanted to do 50-60 years before bras were burnt and S-A-X was revolutionized.

That is why SS isn't anything special.

She's a dolt who probably could not name 3 women who paved the way for her to become a SCJ.

There are MANY women in history who have done more, accomplished more and have been lost in the books of time-When you look at PB-flying around in a wood, wire and canvas plane and compare her to the wise latina lawyer sucking up to politicians to get a job?

    Please.

SS may look like PB, but I can assure you that Barnes was far more deft, fearless and a real icon compared to some women here in the year 2009.

    Barnes was a real woman.

WTF good would an encyclopedia have done for her?

Obviously "dolt" and not "anything special" are VERY relative terms!

She is probably a "twit" too...

I guess we can remove our favorite VP candidate from this forum, turns out she's actually a poet.

I was watching it last night

I happened to have been watching Conan last night when the "poetry" was read. You know, it wasn't bad at all. Unfortunately, the origin of the poem was meant to be a sentence of sorts. I thought the concept of turning the jumble into a poem was quite clever. Maybe Sarah should consider a career change and start to work some of the little, off-beat coffee houses.

If anybody took that clip seriously, what am I thinking of course people took it seriously! People think the Daily Show is actually news, and now Conan is a news source.

    Surprise....Surprise....

    http://finance.yahoo.com/news/2-Obam....html?x=0&.v=7

President Barack Obama's treasury secretary said Sunday he cannot rule out higher taxes to help tame an exploding budget deficit, and his chief economic adviser would not dismiss raising them on middle-class Americans as part of a health care overhaul.

And why, dearest Timmy, is the deficit exploding again?

Health care reform? That has not even been passed into law yet, thus not having had ITS opportunity to fail and thus "require" you to raise our taxes even more....

"Most private forecasters -- and let's use their judgment -- suggest you're going to see unemployment start to come down maybe beginning in the second half of next year," Geithner said, adding those same economists predict positive growth during the second half of this year.
Not if you increase taxes you moron. You are supposed to be the "smartest econonmist out there."

But then again.... Is everything still going according to plan?

Now, DO you really think that it is a wise decision to send Bill Clinton to try and secure the release of those two ding a lings (pun intended) in North Korea is a good idea?

You have to read this while doing BC's voice.

"Hey Barack, I hear you got two young women that need help?"
"I think I could get them out, they'd really be thankful and maybe....."

    THUNK!

    "What was THAT for, Hillary?"

Funny, the last president was seen sporting horn and cloven hoofs and no one cared about that?

I wonder why our new pres has been deemed off limits to a little political buffonery?

    Morons.
