-I got first place!-

I went to a Taekwondo Tournament today! (Taekwondo is like Karate) I did really good!

I'm a Black belt R! So I was in a ring with two other higher black-belt girls. One other girl was named Sarah (yes, we have the same name, lol) who was my age. And another girl who was two years younger than me. Her name was Emily. They were sisters!

I did forms first. Forms are a set of moves in a certain order (kicks, blocks, and punches) that you recite to Judges. They scored me 9.9, 9.9, 9.7 (Which is pretty good, 9.9 is the highest score you can get, I think ). And I got 1st place in that! Emily got 2nd and Sarah got 3rd.

Then we did sparring! Sparring is pretty much fighting each other, lol. We have Head gear, Gloves, Foot gear, Chest protector, and Mouth piece. So we are very protected!! Well I sparred Emily first and beat her 5 points to 2 points! Then I sparred Sarah. I Beat her 5 points to 3 points! So I won 1st in that too! Then Sarah got 2nd and Emily got 3rd!

It's not all about the winning though, It's a whole learning experience. Also you get to meet new people!
This was just a local tournament so it was not really big. I knew almost every person there! I has so much fun!

I have been in Taekwondo for about 6 years! I have learned many things such as Respect for others and Myself! I have made Many, Many friends. And I will continue to meet more!

I just thought I would share! I might post pictures of my Trophy later!
