it was only a matter of time---meet Jada!!!
We knew it would happen--it was just a question of when.
Last Sunday, coincidentally on our first wedding anniversary, we went out to the SPCA. There, in the second to last kennel, was our new furbaby. My husband fell in love with her the second he saw her, and we filled out the application, and brought her home on Wednesday. They had no information on her, as she was dropped off in the "night deposit", but she loves us. She is not spayed however, and is in heat right now. She has an appointment with our vet to be spayed when her cycle is over. We're estimating she is 2 years old, and she was very well taken care of--clean ears, beautiful teeth, gorgeous coat, walks well on the leash, listens, and knows many commands. She had her first bath today, and just stood there and let us scrub her--I think she was glad to get any remaining "kennel smell" off of her. She saw our vet on Thursday, and was given an antibiotic for kennel cough--just in case--and a gel for her eyes--they were a little red, probably from allergies, and she is a saint to let us rub it in for her. She also wears a little diaper around, because she is bleeding a little still. She met the neighbor kids, and adores children. She hasn't once tried to get up on the bed or couch, and doesn't beg at the table. She takes treats nice, and was obviously crate trained.
Everyone is getting along great, amazingly, and even Mr. Snotty only gets a little upset if she comes over and I am petting him--so we just avoid that.
Enough with the talking, here she is:
Emily, Kito, Abbey, Riley, and Jada
